4 Favorite Walls in our Apartment

You probably wouldn’t know it because I never post any content from my apartment, but I absolutely adore our apartment. We went from a totally “charming” pre-war building in New York to a no charm, completely sterile apartment in Marina del Rey.

We’ve been decorating much slower than I’d like and little by little it’s still coming together. Shit, I still have so much to do and buy. For now, I’d love to share with you my four favorite walls in our apartment.

The Bedroom

A partial wall in our bedroom was the first to be completed. To be honest it’s been haunting Eric that the full wall is still bare. However, my mirror selfie corner took priority (obvi). I channeled some serious Grandma Coco vibes when making this corner. We got these woven basket bowls on our cross country drive. I knew I wanted to have a wall with baskets or bowls and when I saw these in New Mexico it was a must purchase.

There in the corner lies Eric’s guitar that I got him for his birthday, that he never plays. I may swap it out with a snake plant. The lamps, nightstand, and rug were very trendy not spendy. I’m sure you’ll prob see this wall in many stories in the future, this is my selfie wall afterall. Haha.IMG_9259 2 Lamp | Rug | Duvet | Boho Throw Pillow | Large Pillows

The Bathroom

Our bathroom is pretty big as far as one-bedroom apartments go. We have such a large wall and I knew I wanted to cover it all. We got these super cute triangular shelves from the Rose Bowl Flea Market along with the little cactus’ and mini wicker basket. The shelves blend perfectly with our boho styled shower curtain too.

I knew I wanted to keep our bathroom looking clean and sharp so rather than having one of those plastic or metal hooks you hang over your door to hold your bath towels and robes I wanted it to look much nicer. We got these simple hooks from Amazon and now Eric and I both have the same towel hanging on the wall behind the door. It just looks so much nicer in my opinion.IMG_9231Processed with VSCO with c8 presetProcessed with VSCO with c8 presetShower Curtain |Hand Towel| Bath Towel | Towel Hooks |Towels

The Kitchen

Our kitchen is pretty small for the most part so I didn’t have very much room to decorate. Over the past 4.5 years living in New York I collected postcards from every restaurant we went to. I ended up collecting over 150 postcards and though I couldn’t use them all I selected our favorite restaurants in NYC and framed them. Every day when we cook it reminds me of all over favorite places to grub in NYC.Processed with VSCO with c8 presetProcessed with VSCO with c8 presetCollage Picture Frames

The Living Room

The wall behind our couch is still a work in progress. It took FOREVER just to hang something up. I couldn’t decide on our artwork so we panicked and just hung up our shelves from our old apartment and got a new picture for it from Target. We also picked up some super fun antlers along Route 66 in Amarillo, TX that fit on the shelf perfectly. Again not my favorite wall, but I thought I’d throw it in here.Processed with VSCO with c8 presetProcessed with VSCO with c8 presetProcessed with VSCO with c8 presetWall Shelves | New York Picture | Cushion Cover

Thanks for checking out my very first apartment post. You know, our apartment complex is the shit too, maybe I’ll make an IGTV and go full MTV Cribs on the next post. Enjoy your week everyone.
