How to Dress for Fall with Summer Weather

Now that we live in LA seasons are officially gone. Mother Nature in Southern California marches to the beat of her own drum and even if it’s October it doesn’t mean you’ll be getting October temperatures. Next week it shows that it’s going to be 92 degrees in Los Angeles. Eeek! Thank goodness we’re going back to NYC next week so I can get my fall fix. In the meantime, I’ve learned a few tips and tricks below on how to dress for fall in summer weather.Processed with VSCO with c8 preset

Fall Hats

Even if it’s hot as balls, just add a fun floppy hat to any dress or jean shorts and you’ll instantly channel fall vibes. My hat is from Amazon, but if you’re looking for killer hats try Huxley and Harper.

Dresses/Skirts

If you’re still living in a city where it’s dress/skirt weather than I suggest getting some fun dresses and skirts with fall patterns like plaid and florals. Try to stick with fall colors such as tans/browns, maroons, olive greens, and oranges/golds. Trust me nothing screams fall like a plaid mini skirt.

Booties

Booties = fall and fall = booties. Pair your favorite fall booties with a plaid skirt or dress. If you’re a big denim shorts girl than throw some booties on with them and a fun graphic tee. Think Stage Coach uniform and you’ll be all set.

Sweaters/Cardigans

Fear of sweating? I hear you! Try getting more cropped sweaters, OTS sweaters, backless sweaters, or turtleneck tanks. It will help keep you cooler for the day and warmer at night.

Last night we roamed the Venice Canals in this total fall combo look. I recently got this dress from Sheinside and am freaking obsessed. It’s so lightweight and very flattering. Not to mention the dress comes in four colors and is only $14 keeping you Trendy Not Spendy.
