When moving to New York, Eric and I had a large bucketlist of places to go and things to do. The Hamptons was one of them. But, sadly with 8 weddings a year it’s a little hard to make the trip. This Memorial Day we finally made it to Montauk…YAY! We went with nine of our closet friends and found a great VRBO in Montauk called Summer Lit. The pictures on VRBO do not do this place justice because it’s incredible and the entire group LOVED it. We had quite the line up ahead of us for the weekend.
We got in on Friday and first stop was The Surf Lodge. We had dinner at The Surf Lodge and I have to say the food was just okay, but the ambiance and cocktails were amazing. We hung out on the back deck and had a few drinks. The movie Casablanca was playing on the screen set up on the beach and the whole place was covered in bistro lights. I freaking love that place, it is such a fun scene. After The Surf Lodge we skipped over to Rushmeyers.
The rest of the group arrived on Saturday and we pregamed at the house for a bit. While people were getting ready to go out I decided to make that photoshoot time. Eric was such a good sport about it and I was super appreciative. At one point I said, “hey babe can you put down the beer and hold the camera with two hands?” He rolls his eyes and responds, “please don’t ever ask me to put my beer down while on vacation.” Haha, okay…fair! I must say he multitasked rather well. We cruised over to check out The Garret Montauk. We love both Garrets in Manhattan, so had to check out the one in Montauk.
We couldn’t leave Montauk until we hit The Sloppy Tuna of course for a little Sunday Funday. God that place is such a beautiful disaster. We closed the night out back at Ruschmeyers. I LOVE that place too. Great crowd, good music, and beer pong the size of garbage cans. What’s not to love? Well… Montauk…I love you!
What can I say…I really love tassels. Between pom poms and tassels I’m all set. Typically, when I go on any vacation I’ll bring a tassel romper along. It’s just so much fun! I found this fabulous blue and white romper from asos and it’s extremely comfy and super cute. I love the all around tassels and how the back hangs a bit lower than the front. For only $42 you can’t go beat it either. Below I’ve shared my entire Montauk look book. If you have anymore questions about where to stay, places to go, and what to wear let me know. I’m happy to help all my Montauk newbies. Have a great rest of the week everyone.
