Hola hola que pasa break out the Patron!
Cinco de Mayo is just a few days and I’m already thirsty for some margaritas. Cinco de Mayo is one of my favorite holidays. Who doesn’t love binge eating Mexican food and a bucket of Coronas. I’ll be in California celebrating this year but, I’m sharing my Cinco de Mayo guide for all the best places to go in NYC. From restaurants with $5 margaritas, incredibly fun decor, to the best micheladas I’ve got you covered.
Tacombi
Tacombi is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I highly recommend checking out the Nolita location because they cook the food inside an old VW bus or enjoy the fresh air and grab a window seat at the location on Bleecker. You’ll love the colorful decor at all Tacombi locations and if you go don’t forget to order the seared fish taco is my fav.
Vamos!
If you want to party Vamos! is the spot. We went last year and had a blast. Arrive a little early because the line can get a little long. Vamos! has a late night happy hour and live music all night long. Don’t forget to hydrate with their frozen margs. The party doesn’t stop on Friday because they are rolling it into the weekend with a brunch party.
Cantina Rooftop
I love Cantina rooftop! the food is delicious, but I really just go for the colorful decor. Bright chairs and loungers call for an Instagram pic. Try tha spicy marg ( I’m weak but I think it’s spicy AF). They also have a business casual dress code so keep it classy NYC.
La Contenta

La Contenta in the Lower East Side is a small little restaurant with a large selection of drinks. If you pop in for a drink I recommend ordering the blackberry Michelada for $8. It sounds weird, but it’s really good. If you stay for a snack you have to grab the crab enchiladas!
Agave
Agave is not only just a good spot for a boozy brunch it’s also the place to be for Cinco de Mayo. They are giving away free chips and guacamole from 5pm-9pm and have killer food and drink specials. $5 margs and $5 quesadillas will keep you drunk and full all night for under $50!
Thanks for stopping by the blog to read through my NYC Cinco de Mayo Guide for 2017. I’ll be in California for a wedding, but you better believe I’ll be stuffing my face with tacos and drinking a michelada or three. Areba!
