A Little Prep in My Step

Hey guys! Sadly, the weekend has come to an end and I’m hustling to get this post in before The Walking Dead starts. It’s been a fun eventful weekend and we closed it out with a little eating, drinking, and West Village exploring. Eric (the hubby) and I have been wanting to check out Corner Bistro in the West Village because we heard the burger is suppose to be one of the best in NYC.Today was a gorgeous fall day, sunny with a side of crisp. I decided to add a little prep in my step and combine a plaid collared shirt underneath a cozy knit sweater. I’m sure you’ll be seeing similar looks in the near future because I love a good sweater/ shirt combo. When I was reviewing the pictures I couldn’t help but laugh and think of the 1999 Jenna. That Jenna wore wife beaters and overalls with rubber bands around her pant legs. Oh yeah I’m not joking, I rolled up my pant legs in high school. I convinced myself it was cool and not at all ghetto since both pant legs we’re rolled up instead of just one.

I just got this incredible Oxblood Satchel from Sole Society and it such a pretty little thing. I love the deep rich color and to top it off has subtle leopard lining inside. The crossbody strap is perfect for exploring and long afternoon walks. I also did the laptop test and it does hold my MacBook Air.I took my old white knit sweater and paired it with my red and navy long flannel shirt. These high rise jeans are from Forever 21 and they are UGHmazing. I always have the best luck at Forever and I highly recommend buying these jeans. They are high waisted, rips right at the knee (I’m 5″5), and tight on the ankles. You know how much I hate the ankle scrunching. I mentioned this satchel is a solid buy, but I will repeat myself when I say buy this Vaneli booties from 6pm.com. This booties are so comfy! We walked about 2.5 miles today and they didn’t hurt one bit. Sticking to my Treny Not Spendy moto each individual item I’m wearing is under $100! When you’re in the mood to do a little shopping try and think about what you currently have in your closet. This knit sweater is three years old and felt brand new just by pairing it with a flannel shirt underneath. Thanks for stopping by! It’s time to watch the Walking Dead….ine mine mine mo!Forever 21: High Rise Skinny Jeans | H & M: Knit Sweater (similar here and here) | 6pm.com: Vaneli Booties | Forever 21: Flannel Shirt | Sole Society: Marlow Satchel
