3 Ways to Spice Up Jeans and a Tee

I would live in a graphic tee and my boyfriend jeans if I could. I’m all about being comfortable. Comfort is key, but being stylish is also my priority. Here are 3 ways to spice up your comfortable tee look.

Add Statement Jewelry

You’d be surprised how often I layer a statement necklace with my t-shirts. It really adds a little something more and dresses up a casual look. I have so many statement necklaces from Stella and Dot, so when I wear a t-shirt I love layering it with a casual look.

Why stop with a necklace? Colorful statement earrings are the perfect way to take a t-shirt to the next level. I recently got these Kendra Scott tassel earrings and I’m obsessed. They have three tassels for that bold look or you can remove the tassels individually for a more subtle look. Just by adding a bold earring you can spice up your casual tee and jeans look.

Layer with a Kimono

I don’t wear kimonos as often as I should. I’ll usually wear a kimono over a bikini because it hides all the area I don’t want seen, but I don’t typically add it with an everyday outfit. When I found this Boohoo floral kimono on Asos I knew I needed to have. In fact I decided to copy the exact same outfit from the model in the picture on the website. I highly recommend adding a kimono to your casual look to step it up a bit and here are a few favs I’ve found.

Bright and Bold Shoes

Go big and go bold. Why be boring with your shoes? I try to have at least 3 bright shoes in my closet. You never know when you’re going to need to add a little flair to this look. Though I did copy most of this look I knew it needed to be topped off with a bright shoe. Luckily I own two pairs of yellow heels and either pair would definitely tie the look together. So take that basic tee and jeans to another level with a bright heel.
