Hey guys! Happy Tuesday! I just got the most adorable maxi skirt that I am head over heels in love with. I’ve been testing out different styles of ruffles on my outfits. So far, a ruffle hem is what seems to look best. I’ve tried ruffle dresses and they do not look good on me at ALL. I kind of look like a big round cupcake when I wear ruffles all over my body. In moderation is all I can do, so I stick to the hem and sleeves.
I snagged this dress from ASOS last month and I’m still pretty obsessed. It’s high wasted, so it covers my little tum tum which makes me feel more comfortable. It’s pretty long as is and can be worn with any high heel. If you wear baby wedges like I do, you can just roll the waist band inwards and down two or three times and it’s still long enough to cover your shoes. This maxi is very universal and I already know all the looks I’m going to style it with. For this look I pretty much just copied exactly what the model wore on the website because I loved the look. Other ways I plan on wearing this skirt is with a denim shirt tied in a knot around the stomach. Which I think will look stupid cute. I have the perfect burnt orange cami already in my closet that will go well together too. I think you can pull off tennis shoes with this skirt too to make it a more casual look. Like I mentioned in my last post I believe a pair of white tennies go with everything.
I also purchased this white crop top with the outfit because it looked great on the model and I wanted a similar look. Though I loved the shirt I probably should have sized up. I am pretty top heavy and it doesn’t fit the best for those with big gals like me. So, if you purchase this top I’d say size up and you’ll be fine. I have been wearing the crop top a lot though that you’ll see in upcoming posts. It pretty much goes with everything.
With the crop top and ruffled hem skirt matched perfectly with my round basket bag. The bag really tied it all together. Together these three items cost less than $150 all together keeping you Trendy Not Spendy!
