Looks like I’ve gone gingham. This is now my third gingham purchase in one week. It’s so funny because years ago I thought this style just looked like a picnic table and then I finally drank the koolaid.
I snagged this adorable backless gingham mini dress from my girlfriends online boutique Huxley and Harper. It fits so well and it’s super comfortable. Maybe if my ass would stop getting bigger it wouldn’t be as short. But, what can you do? The dress hugs perfectly on the top and I don’t even need to wear a bra. The zipper on the side let’s you side it on easy and it’s form fitting. I love the two back ties which does add a little flair to the dress.
Since the dress is a tad short on me I paired the dress with my favorite New Look white platform tennies from ASOS. These tennies are super comfy and only $19. I wish they made them in every color because I’d definitely buy every color. My boater hat was a solid find from Nordstrom. I have a baby head and hats never fit me so when I found this boater hat on their website I was super happy.
I recently came across this great round straw bag on Etsy (yes, Etsy!) I’ve seen a lot of bloggers wearing similar round straw bags and I kinda jumped on the bandwagon. I reached out to NusaLuna on Etsy and they sent me this adorable round straw bag all the way from Singapore. I HIGHLY recommend this bag! The quality is incredible and the leather strap is the perfect match. I’m sure you’re wondering… what can you really fit in that thing? I honestly wondered that too. I gave the bag a test drive this weekend and it fits my coin purse, lip liner, lipstick, powder, iPhone 7plus, sunglasses, and mini deodorant. Those are my usual purse essentials and it fits perfectly with a little room to spare. It’s the perfect bag.
If you love this look you can shop directly through my links below. If you want to shop my gingham mini dress head to the Huxley and Harper website to snag it for $39. But, don’t forget to use my promo code ‘trendnotspendy’ for 20% off. This entire look is under $150 keeping you Trendy Not Spendy.
