Yaaassssss…..it was the first Sunday in forever when football was NOT on! Woo hoo! Haha, I’m not a total football hater it’s just hard when football takes over EVERY Sunday. So, with that said Sunday was for brunch/taking blog pictures. We threw on our Sunday best and hit the West Village to meet up with another couple for brunch.
We started at Macondo West for a little Mexican and bottomless mimosas. That is one thing you’d never really see in San Francisco, bottom less brunch. $15 for unlimited mimosas for an hour and half. You can’t really beat that! A couple empanadas and 4-5 mimosas and we we’re on our way. Hey, no judgement…I love me a good boozy brunch. I’m just trying to keep it trendy not spendy with those brunch deals.
After brunch we snagged a drink at one of my favorite West Village spots Wilfie and Nell. It’s such an intimiate setting, great for close conversations and lots of laughs. After that we made our final stop at Bar Sardine for Bloody Mary’s. Since our friends don’t explore the West Village that of often we wanted to take them to all our favorite spots. Normally, you’d start with a bloody but they’re just so good at Bar Sardine it doesn’t really matter the time of day. I ordered my go to Michelada of course.
I’ve been rocking the skinnies and booties lately and it was nice to pull those flared jeans off the top shelf for a good wear. These jeans are olllllld, I wanna say Eric bought those for me Christmas 2012. These Marc by Marc Jacobs high waisted flare jeans are amazing. After so many years they are still in the best condition and never go out of style, even if they do they’ll come back around. Flare jeans I can honestly say it’s okay to be spendy and I’m not just saying that because Eric bought me these. They last forever and never go out of style so spending up front will last in the long run. Since these are crazy old they of course they are not available but, I still linked a few similar ones for.
I threw on my goto mock neck sweater which is $15 by the way and my favorite oxblood tote from Sole Society. I love Sole Society bags. I’m currently eye balling their new summer bags for our Aruba trip next month. So, if you take anything away from this post remember spending a little on a solid pair of flared jeans is always worth it. Oh AND go check out my favorite West Village places if you’re in NYC. Have a great week everyone!
